Parsley isn't just for decorating your plate. It is used to flavor many standard American dishes including chicken noodle soup. It is an annual in our climate and needs to be replanted every season since it can't survive our winters. Most people are familiar with the curly leaf variety, but the Italian flat leaf variety is gaining popularity. Both can be used in the same way.
Store parsley in a plastic bag in your refrigerator for up to a week. It can also be frozen or dried for longer storage.
