Zucchini
General Information
Zucchini is a type of summer squash. The peels and seeds are edible. They can be sliced, shredded or cubed for cooking. In general, there isn't a lot of inherent flavor to a zucchini. However, they add interesting texture and color to many dishes - not to mention nutrients.
Storage Information
Store in a plastic bag in your refrigerator for up to one week.
Cooking Suggestions
Slice, brush with oil and seasonings and grill.
Add to soups in cubes.
Saute cubes with onions and seasonings as a side dish.
Slice, bread and fry.
Shred, saute until soft and add to pasta sauce.
Cut into sticks and eat raw with dip.
Add to a stir-fry.
